Our family enjoyed a delightful night away! The cozy room featured one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. Breakfast was a highlight, fueling us perfectly for our Jurassic coast adventures. Dinner was enjoyable, especially the flavorful pork belly. just be mindful that portion sizes may vary.

the pheasants was a great find! the landlord, matt, made us feel incredibly welcome. our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and we loved the tea and capsule coffee facilities. dinner was a highlight—my chicken was spicy and delightful, and my sister enjoyed the good pub food. breakfast options were tasty too, especially the yogurt and granola.

The stay was everything cozy and calming! I absolutely loved the giant bathtub that felt like a mini pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of scenic walks. Plus, the homemade biltong and exquisite locally sourced dishes on the menu made my taste buds sing!

I loved the huge bathtub in my double room and the real ales straight from the cask were a highlight! The lovely walks nearby made for a perfect evening stroll.

the room we stayed in was super comfy with a really nice private bathroom. love the fluffy white towels and cool toiletries they provided! the menu was great and the wine list even better. the staff were really lovely, especially the guy at the bar who helped us pick some good wines.

We had a lovely stay with beautiful decor in our room and a really comfy bed. The food was delicious, especially the venison and partridge we had for dinner. The staff were friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our visit.

I recently stayed for one night and truly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the delicious dinner options, including the locally sourced ingredients. The room was well-decorated, spacious, and featured a luxurious private bathroom which made my stay very comfortable. The friendliness of Matt, the landlord, added a personal touch, making us feel very welcome. I felt there could be a bit more variety in breakfast options.

The room featured a huge bed and a spacious bathtub, providing a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the hot water issue made it challenging to enjoy a relaxing bath, necessitating boiling water for basic washing. the TV remote didn't function, adding to the inconvenience during the stay. Despite these setbacks, the ambience was pleasant and warm, and local dishes, including Nagasaki rice, were a highlight.

During my stay, I was charmed by the historical décor and delightful ambiance that reminded me of a classic English pub. The common areas were very accessible, making it easy for seniors like myself to navigate comfortably.

More variety in breakfast options would be appreciated.
